The first ever Silverbacks Park All Star Games will be held on November 25th before the USA vs. England World Cup Watch Party! Our All Stars will get the royal treatment with locker rooms, goodie bags, music, an announcer, and more! We are excited for this opportunity to highlight some of the players that make Silverbacks Park the most competitive adult soccer league in Atlanta.
How it works:
We start with nominations from our captains. Each captain received an email with a for to nominate 3 players (3 women, 3 men for co-ed). Players who receive multiple nominations will make the cut automatically and player who don’t will be scouted by the committee before being sent to the next level.
The next level being public voting. Fifty players from each division will be brought to the public to be voted on for the final rosters in the 6 All Star matches: Men’s Open, Over 30, Over 40, Over 50, Co-Ed, and Women’s. Yes, you read that correctly. We will be hosting a women’s match to make sure the talented women that play at the park are as thoroughly recognized as the men. Exciting stuff!
Once the rosters are locked in by vote invitations will be extend to the qualifying players and alternates. The voting will take place on our website, but there will be bonus voting opportunities on our Instagram page as well (@silverbacksparkatl).
When the teams are finalized the only thing left to do is enjoy! Games will be between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the stadium and after there will be a huge watch party for the USA/England World Cup Match (more on that here). It will be a great day for soccer fans. Hope to see you there!
